MS. ALLSION SPICER is the Registered Nurse of RCC. Ms. Spicer started her tenure in nursing as graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University with an Associates of Science in Nursing. She also furthered her career at Gwynedd Mercy University obtaining a Bachelors and is currently pursing a Masters of Science in Nursing. She is registered by the state of Pennsylvania Licensed Board as a Registered Nurse (RN). Ms. Spicer’s experience has included working at the following hospitals currently during her tenure: Grand View Hospital, Holy Redeemer Hospital, Abington Memorial Hospital, Doylestown Hospital, Lower Bucks County Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital, and Chestnut Hill Hospital (Pennsylvania). She also works as a Prison Nurse at Chester State Correctional Institution in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Spicer utilizes exceptional planning, organizing, and prioritizing abilities to achieve the best patient/client outcomes. She is a team leader, patient advocate, and demonstrates problem solving abilities while maintain composure during high stress situations. She has specialization in cognitive and skills evaluations in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) program.
Ms. Spicer’s work experience includes:

Coordinating clinics, administering medication, therapeutic agents, and breathing treatments

Vital Signs, IV/PICC Maintenance, Electrocardiogram (EKG)s, Left Ventricular Assistance Device (LVAD) wound vacs, wound care, and dressing changes.

Accu-checks, administration of insulin to Diabetic Mellitus (DM) patients,

Performing suture removal, punch biopsies, and construction of soft casts

Caring for infectious dieses patients such as ( TB, Herpes Zoster, Hepatitis (HCV), (HIV), Cancer

Cataracts, glaucoma, liver CA, Bone CA, kidney failure, osteomyelitis, and spinal revision

Maple Syrup Disease, and abdominal abscesses
Ms. Spicer provided education on disease process to pre and post-surgical patients. She has also asses patients, regulated patient treatment while providing physical and emotional support. She has also made referrals to treatment teams, and outside provider. Ms. Spicer has held excellent commination with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. She provides shift reports along with charting and documenting treatments according to protocol, knowledge of 302 procedures and care for patients with a variety of medical and mental conditions. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania State Nurse Association 2014’ to present and a member of the Black Nurses Rock Association 2016’ to present.
